1. By placing an order, the Client accepts the terms and conditions of these Regulations.
2. A standard page of translation consists of 1800 characters with spaces. The number of pages and the price of the order are calculated in advance on the basis of the volume, the complexity of the vocabulary and the layout of the document to be translated, and the deadline for completion.
3. New Clients are required to make an advance payment of the amount specified in the order quote before Metatłumacz will commence carrying out the order. For Clients who have already used the services of Metatłumacz, it is possible to pay the remuneration for the order after receiving the translation.
4. The deadline for translation is calculated from the day the order is placed to its completion, in accordance with the deadline indicated in the order.
5. Metatłumacz declares that it has relevant qualifications to carry out the order, nevertheless, it recognises the need to work closely with the Client in the following cases:
a. If specific terminology is required, the Client should provide a glossary containing the relevant vocabulary. If the Client does not provide a glossary, Metatłumacz will use the correct vocabulary according to its best knowledge and experience, which may, however, differ from the Client’s expectations.
b. If the translation is to be published, the Client is obliged to notify Metatłumacz about this fact. Such an order is subject to additional verification (additional charge of 50% of the basic rate). The translator may need to consult with the Client when making a translation for publication. If the Client does not agree to additional verification, the translator is only liable up to the value of the order.
6. Legitimate reservations and complaints regarding the quality of the translation will be honoured if they are notified, indicated and justified by the Client within 14 days of the date of completion of the translation. If no reservations are made within 14 days of the delivery of the translation to the Client, the Client accepts the completed translation. Metatłumacz has the right to make corrections and remedy defects within the specified statutory period.
7. A complaint can only be accepted if the payment term for the order in question has not been exceeded.
8. Metatłumacz does not accept reservations or complaints about express and super express orders.
9. Metatłumacz shall only be financially liable for any damage resulting from translation errors up to the gross value of the order as part of which the translation was performed.
10. Metatłumacz may need to consult with the Client when making a translation for publication. If the Client does not agree to additional verification, Metatłumacz is only liable up to the value of the order.
11. To all matters not settled herein the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.
12. Any disputes between the Client and Metatłumacz will be resolved amicably through negotiations conducted in good faith. If agreement is not reached, disputes will be settled by the court having jurisdiction over the registered office of Metatłumacz.
